What was your first experience with pro life work?

My first experience with prolife was initiated at prolife festival in warsaw indiana last summer. I went with a few kids i didnt know very well from a church i had just began attending. So I was encouraged to spend the few days wondering around the booths, asking alot of questions, and getting to know some really amazing people. I soaked in every second of that weekend and there is not one memory of mine that tops that. In the coming months all i wanted was to know more and do more for the cause. So i gladly participated in Silent Day on October 22 this past year. Which was.. incredible. Just through handing out flyers and writing little notes to people i had never met in my school before, I became a witness in a way i never thought possible... silence.

Why are you working with Stand True this summer?

I am working with Stand True this summer because lately God has been giving me opportunites to show that if He so pleases, I would give up my world to follow what He has in store for me.  Because of how my life is at the moment, when I graduate I realized that I would have the chance to start over, wherever i wanted.  After a very emotional week a couple of weeks ago, I realized that I wanted nothing more than to kick off my "new beginning" with God 100% in charge. The first thing I thought of was my experience with Prolife festival last year, and how much I wanted to help. When God opened the door for me to go, the process only took a little over a week before I was accepted, and I knew this was what God wanted.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

I have multiple favorites in the Bible for different occasions. But Philippians 4:4-20 is by far my favorite. It's encouraging, and convicting at the same time. It reminds me to find something to rejoice in all the time,to always find a way to be thankful despite the circumstances. The story of the Prodigal Son also never fails to tug at my heart strings. It's a beautiful story that could be applied to every life of every person out there.

What is your favorite book other than the Bible?

As for books, I think I have been pretty addicted to reading 'relationship help' books since I was like eleven. Between relationships with friends, families, and 'significant others', I have always figured I could use all the help I can get. Because while relationships can build you, they can break you as well. My all time favorite book is however, "Searching for God Knows What" by Donald Miller. I also loved "The Great Gatsby", and anything by Rob Bell.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream in the morning?

I can never make decisions in the morning. But my favorite flavor is definately Chocolate Peanut-butter. But since its the morning and i can use the energy, I'm gonna want two scoops, one being the chocolate peanut butter, and the other being the most awkward flavor they've got.

Who is your hero?

My hero is my dad. I could talk your ear off about the man for hours. But the just of it is, he's the best person I know. I'm a daddy's girl. Just this morning God woke us both up extremely early unexpectedly for a good heart to heart, not three hours later we were playing catch in the dairy aisle of our grocery store.

If you were stuck on a desert island (with a cd player) for the rest of your life what 5 cds would you take with you:

This one is TOUGH for a music junkie like myself.

1.)  i'm gonna be lame and say i need a mix of my ABSOLUTE favs.
 2.) The 'Elizabethtown' soundtrack.
 3.) Taylor Swift cd.
4.)  'best of the 90's' country
 5.)  Drop Dead Gorgeous cd,
5 1/2.) A general praise and worship cd.

yeah I'm entirely aware that adds up to six. But just be grateful I realized I wouldnt need my "sound of the ocean' cd to put me to sleep.
