What was your first experience with pro-life work?

For as long as I can remember my church has always run a carenet office and I would say that my first experience was collecting money in baby bottles to help support carenet, but I would say that my first real take a stand for pro-life moment was the Day of Silent Solidarity last year.

Why are you working with Stand True this summer?

I have been living comfortable for way too long and a Stand True summer will kick me in the butt to get out of my comfort zone. I will be working hard for something that I have a passion for but don't always know how to speak out about. I know this summer will not be a walk in the park and it won't often be pretty but I do know that if I impact one life this summer my work will be worth it.

What is your favorite bible verse?

I have a new favorite verse all the time but for the moment it is 1 Corinthians 11:1 "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." I try to follow the example of Paul and of Jesus. I fail miserably but I am trying.

What is you favorite book other than the bible?

Story Time by Edward Bloor. It is a marvelous book and there is a good chance you will see me reading it on tour.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream in the morning?

Mint Chocolate Chip that is my favorite anytime all the time.

Who is your hero (other than Jesus)?

My mom. She works extremely hard for me and my sister and has overcome a lot to be who she is.
